Troon – Tour at a Glance

Troon is only a 45 minute drive from the Glasgow (GLA) Airport making it the optimal airport for your arrival.  Most tours to this area of Scotland will include hotel accommodations in Troon.  It’s central location to the courses in the area makes travel extremely easy.  So many fantastic courses are located within a few minutes of Troon so a tour to this area will feature very little travel.  The only trip of any notable length in this area is to Trump Turnberry, 45 minutes to the south.  However, that is a trip we strongly encourage our guests to make.  Finally, for those adventurous travelers, making the 3 hour and 45 minute drive over to the Kintyre Peninsula to play Machrihanish and Machrihanish Dunes is a major time commitment but one that will be quite memorable.  Take a look at a sample itinerary for this region of Scotland.
